Welcome to the Rockingham County Korean War Era Veterans Project!

The Rockingham County Korean War-Era Veterans Project recognizes the service and sacrifice of Rockingham County, N.C. veterans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces between June 25, 1950 and July 27, 1953. An attempt has been made to locate all county veterans who served during the Korean War era, regardless of combat experience (some veterans declined to participate in this project). This project is also an attempt to recognize veterans of a brutal conflict that has not received as much attention as World War I & II, the Vietnam War, or the more recent wars in the Middle East and Afghanistan.
