Borrowing From Other Libraries
Most student and faculty needs may be met through the resources of the James Library. When necessary, items may easily be borrowed from another NC community college by placing a hold with your library card through the library catalog. There is no charge for this service, and items generally arrive by courier in about a week.
Should you need books or journal articles which are not available in the James Library or another NC community college library, we are happy to request them for you from other colleges, universities, or public libraries. There is no charge for this service unless the loaning library charges a fee. Digital copies of articles usually arrive quickly. Expect to wait at least a week for books to arrive through the mail. Use the request form at right for these items.
